Don't Erupt

 

I don't think many artist parady their own songs.  Let alone, release the parody and not the original tune.  I needed a high-energy inspirational, ‘You Can Do It!’ song for the exercise scene in Sensitive Johnson.  I originally had the Rocky Theme in there, but I couldn't come up with the $500,000 lisencing fee they wanted for a film festival release. So I had to come up with something else, so to speak.  I took the music from a song I recorded for Emotional Wreck, but then cut.  It's an emotionally driven rant again someone who ripped apart a rough verson of Sensitive Johnson.  I wrote "Your Opinion Sucks" in about 10 minutes after this pompous Hollywood snob bashed it. The song was simply emotional self-preservation - and I liked it, but I felt it could be construed as a bit mean and wasn't really fit for, at least, that record - which of course isn't mean at all.  After I changed the lyrics so they precisely described the premature ejacultion problem in the film, I realized had the inspirational song I needed to replace Rocky.  That jerk enhanced my film and will never know it.
