We’re claiming a regular home at Molly Malone’s.
This version of the Strings of Comedy would have to be put in the grammy category of “Duos or Groups”. No solo acts. Just a peacenik / hippy fem duo that hate each other, a couple of non-married guys who don’t understand women, and an overzealous Jesus loving/fearing Church choir.
Molly Malone’s can be found at 575 S. Fairfax Ave, LA 90036. We start at 7 and end before 9, this Sunday, Aug 24th.
Vomit – Comprised of Skye and Moone, identical twins separated at age 11 when their parents got divorced. They were reunited when Skye got arrested and Moone bailed her out. Vomit was born.
Go People Go! – Sketch Armstrong (Comedy Central Stage, Aspen and Montreal Comedy Festivals) presents Christian Folk Sensation, Go People Go!. These upbeat Christian Soldiers are “putting the FUN back in Christian Fundamentalism”. If you love Jesus as much as you hate unwed mothers, prostitutes and the poor, you’ll love Go People Go!
The Dysfunctional Romantics – Musical comedians Phil Johnson of Roadside Attraction & Chris Valenti of The Emotional Wrecks have joined forces. If your crowd enjoys good music, stand up comedy, and understands the painful humor of a frustrating relationship, this is the show for them. Chris and Phil turn the suffering into laughter as they lampoon messed up romantic situations across the spectrum.
If you love great music and enjoy a good laugh, join us.
Bring a healthy sense of humor and an impeccable taste in tunes.
Time to cut loose a little bit. Let’s meet. Hang out at a fun happy hour (with great food and drink specials – not to mention the cheapest parking on Sunset). Then head over to see the big show in the Main Room of the Comedy Store.
We meet up at The Saddle Ranch (8371 Sunset Blvd) for happy hour at 6. Hang out. Eat, giggle, drink a little. Then head over to the Comedy Store (8433 Sunset Blvd) at 7:30 for the 8pm show, where we laugh, giggle, and drink a little more. Then, since it’s Friday, we go back to the Saddle Ranch for more of the same. Come have some fun with us.
I have a limited number of Comedy Store advance tickets for $15 each. You can purchase them here..
Last Comic Standing and Live at Gotham vet Vargus Mason heads up this great Friday night show at the world famous club. A Friday night not to miss.
